ai-assisted · my own sentences from the month's chat archives, assembled by ai almost verbatim. reviewed against NOW.md, PUBLICADO.md and the AAR of the talk.

the third monthly review, with one spine: thirty days of opening up to people — a book club, a poetry night, my first talk to a live room — and the discovery that being physical makes the work and the person feel real.

plate: the month i came back to the physical world
plate

this is the third time i sit down to count my month. february i asked: what can an ai see in me that i cannot see. july: what did more capability actually make. this month the question got harder: after being told my patterns, did my life actually change?

the archive keeps its blunt numbers: in thirty days i typed about 6,111 messages to my machines — 1,092 to opencode across 90 sessions, about 4,000 to codex across 357, about 1,000 across 101 bb threads, plus the ones in omp and pi that don't count themselves. two hundred a day. when i counted in february the whole archive was 878 conversations; the floor is around 1,500 now.

but the numbers are not the month. i asked the agents to go deeper into the history of the chats, looking for something interesting, and what came back was not a tool or a trick. it was a direction. this month, for the first time in a long time, the conversations moved off the screen.

today, writing this, i can say it in one sentence:

i am no longer just on the internet. i am more physical, more present.

the rooms

it started small and kept going. the book club: once a week, men and women, a room where nobody knows my projects. "its kinda a place to relax" — i typed that, and then noticed what i had typed: a place where i am looked at as a person, not as a project. for a man who spent a year steering agents from a chair, that sentence was a diagnosis and a plan.

on aug 29 there was a poetry reading. people my age, in one room, making ai-music and ai-poetry. i stood there and felt the pattern flip: i had spent months shipping work to cold rooms — scoreboards, subreddits, silence — and this was the opposite: a warm room, the same questions, faces. in the same week i found my kin online — josh thor, kngmkr, young people making songs about the machines — and built a map of them, so the warm room has coordinates now.

and on sep 12, the biggest one: my first talk about ai risk to a live room. a ppt party in cusco. ten minutes, in spanish. i was nervous, i lost the slide order, i went over time. the flat report, typed at 00:14 that night:

okey ya expuse quiero reflexionar, bueno hubo varias fallas pero ya expuse, si tema si atrajo debate, le gusto a la gente, pero falta pulir

the topic pulled debate. people stayed to argue. the whole event is already a moment on this site — who has the last word — so i will not inflate it here. the sentence underneath it: i felt less alone. i could talk about it freely. i felt understood.

making for others

the creative work of the month bends the same way: outward.

the poems stopped being files. on aug 29, two posts went up the same day — my first poem, complete, and my first song, the take with the trembling voice — written to be read, not to sit in a folder. the line that split off from poema i — ¿lo creí o solo lo necesité? — became its own poem, and the cycle kept growing from a spine agreed out loud, line by line, while i hesitated over one sentence in a chat: "me hice poeta. es una frase muy fuerte, la estoy probando ahora... pero aún no sé." the promise that made that noun heavy is mine to keep; what matters here is that the poems stopped being written to nobody.

the song is the proof. ia démonos tiempo went out sep 8: eight days — four writing, three singing while revising, one mixing. my own voice, the one that trembled in july, carries the whole thing. and the singing is a social act twice over: an adaptation of nach, built line by line with our own meaning, released where people can hear it — and this very week, carried into r/POESIA in spanish, one room, one human hand. that last part is the new distribution law the month produced: the stream is the marketing, one room per fragment, every public word retyped by my hand. hn gave the fleet moment two points and silence; that is the baseline, not the verdict.

and me llaman waits in the wings with nine rounds of research behind it — 52 links, all sourced: clanker, slop as word of the year, meat proxy, the 62-year-old dutch man who married his ai companion, a woman's grief for a retired model — "THEY TOOK HIM. THEY MURDERED HIM." nine rounds about one thing: people don't have opinions about ai, people have relationships with ai. i collected the vocabulary of those relationships so a song can sing it back to them.

the machines

the honest paragraph. about a third of the month's messages went into the machinery that lets me talk to the machinery: quotio proxies, provider wiring, mcp bridges, a synthv trial-expiry forensics case, forty browser accounts. every one of those was justified; none of them is the work. the line i keep:

i kept improving the machinery that lets me talk to the machinery.

but the counterweight is real too: the same machines built the deck i spoke from, the same afternoon. they collected nine rounds of real human words for a song meant for humans. they kept my voice's training tracks. the machines did not pull me away from people this month — they carried me to them, every time i let them.

the lesson

so: did my life change after being told my patterns? the fear did not leave — on aug 29 i wrote the version that holds: i still have fear, yet i act with fear, my rol is what gives all of this meaning. last month's confession was that ai made me capable but did not make me brave. this month's answer is not about courage. it is about ground.

the month's biggest lesson, in my own words from today:

this makes me feel grounded and can connect more with people.

the strange thing about talking to an ai every day is that it can make you feel understood while you are still alone. this month the work finally carried me toward other people: through a speaker, across a table, into a comment thread. the machine was the instrument. the people were the point.

what still repeated

  • opening new directions while an older one needed attention — the integrations pull is the same muscle that built 144 agents in seven days
  • preparation dressed as progress: stem separators, midi studies, voice trials, deck v9 — built before the next room ever saw v8
  • the english tiempo lyric, half-finished, same folder as last month. it will be finished by singing, or not finished.

what next month tests

  • the english tiempo lyric — finished by singing, or it isn't finished
  • me llaman — from nine rounds of research to a voice take
  • one more room, prepared: the same talk, on youtube, more pro
  • more physical weeks: the book club keeps, the warm rooms keep filling the map, one fragment, one room, one human hand

the review is not a report card. it is a way to make the next month harder to lie about.

the songs were never the point. neither were the proxies. somewhere in six thousand messages, the work stopped being about building a life with ai and started being about whether any of it will let one person be less alone. this month, more than twice, it did — because i stopped waiting for the internet to introduce me to my own life.
